Everton make double swoop for Alcaraz and Robles.
Paraguayan international Antolín Alcaraz has today signed a 2 year deal with the club. The free agent will add experienced cover at the back having been granted a work permit after his contract at Wigan expired.
He is followed through the door by goalkeeper Joel Robles who has signed on a 5 year deal after Everton reached an agreement with Atlético Madrid for his services today. The 23 year old will offer competition for Tim Howard following Ján Mucha’s departure from the club and may be seen by the manager as his long term replacement.
Joel will be the third signing made by Martínez in just 2 days and will unite both players with former teammate Arouna Koné. All 3 players worked under Martínez together at Wigan last season.
